I'm switching to PLD tanking cause I have noticed we are in need for more tanks and was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me?

I've spent most of my time in Ffxiv tanking and though I'm not terribly familiar with rain content I've tanked through raids in other holy trinity Mmos. The guide above is extremely helpful, but a bit of advice that has helped me go far as a tank is understanding you are the defacto leader of the party. You set the pace. So I would always communicate with your group right from the start, ask if they are comfortable with multiple groups of mobs. If it's your first time let the group know you are still learning its mechanics, people in this game are pretty understanding for the most part. Also, make good use of the ready check and countdown features to be very deliberate to the party. Just being helpful overall is appreciated. A friend of mine who tanks reminds players to use their food buff before starting for that extra exp boost. Just my two cents.
